Choosing a daycare for your infant is a stressful task. As a parent, you want only the best for your baby. Cross Timbers Preschool and Daycare in Owasso, OK, wants to provide that for you! Infants in our care are looked after by experienced and responsive caregivers who will keep your baby fed, changed, and well-rested. We also offer other benefits for your infant. Keep reading to learn about the other benefits of our infant program.
Obviously, it’s going to be a while before your baby actually starts having conversations with you, but that doesn’t mean (s)he’s not learning and observing. At Cross Timbers, infants in our care are cuddled, rocked, sung to, spoken to, and read to on a regular basis. Face-to-face interactions with baby allow him/her to get to know voice patterns and the ways in which emotions are expressed. Baby’s early socializations encourage language development and, some speculate, the development of empathy.
Although Baby’s not old enough to be making friends, (s)he will develop social skills at Cross Timbers through interactions with our caregivers and other infants. Baby may not be interested in playing with other babies yet, but socialization at such an early age encourages the development of social skills and promotes confidence in your baby.
Baby will likely begin to experience separation anxiety between the ages of ten and eighteen months, but familiar people and places can limit the amount of anxiety your baby feels. At Cross Timbers, Baby will be cared for by the same person every day to develop a feeling of familiarity.
